Miss Loveland Valentine

I for some reason have been really interested in Loveland and all the things that happen around Valentine's Day. For instance, I would enjoy designing the official Valentine's Day card for Loveland. I would also enjoy, as a far out dream, to be Miss Loveland Valentine! That would such an honor and so exciting, the only problem I have is not doing enough in school. For instance, clubs and sports. I hope that by my senior year people will want me to represent them as Miss Valentine. That would be a nice dream to accomplish. My favorite part of the museum in Loveland is the Valentine's Day part! All the stamps from all the years, and the pictures of the first Miss Valentine.

The Creations

These are my necklaces that I have made over the years. These are not all of them that I have made though, just some of the strangest ones. The first one is my Spider-Man necklace, followed by my VERY FIRST weird necklace which is Ken, my sweet skeleton with the flower is next, then the newest which is my measuring spoon one, and everyone's favorite, the IPod necklace. The Barbie head on the Spider-Man one is from Belle which is from Beauty and the Beast. The Ken for the Ken necklace was found at a garage sale, as is without the hemp and beads though, and I believe they just gave it to me. The skeleton arm is from Joann Fabrics during Halloween time along with the fuzzy black beads I used on the other side. The flower is just something I found at Michael's when I was little. As for the measuring spoon one, I found them at my Dad's store. My dad actually helped me make the necklace while I gave him the idea and finished it up with the chain. It was a Daddy/ Daughter project :) Last but definitely not least is the IPod necklace. I originally made the necklace with just one IPod which is the middle one which I finally convinced my friend Emily to let me have for my creation. The top IPod is from a kid in my English class named Chad that used it for a project about himself for school. The bottom IPod is the shuffle which was kindly donated to my creation by a girl in my Spanish class named Kelly. It still somewhat works but will die eventually because neither of us have the charger. Eventually I would like to make lots of necklaces, I would probably tone down the weirdness, and begin to sell them. My main difficulty with making these is getting the materials needed for them. Right now I need four flip phones, thirteen watches, lots of chain, fish beads and much much more. Hopefully soon I will have more of my "creations" to add to my blog. Enjoy!

The Day of Adventure

Today was quite a great day. I was at my dad's house and so we went to the museum with Dad, Gwyn, and their friends Mary and Rick. While looking through the interesting artifacts the alarm went off in the WHOLE museum. The intercom came on and told us that they were going to try and find where it was coming from. It was on for a while but eventually turned off.

After we went to the museum we decided to get some dinner at the BBQ restaurant on the way home. I was somewhat grumpy because of a headache and wasn't really wanting to eat anything. I order a pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed that greatly! When I was chowing down on the fries that I dipped in BBQ sauce, I took a bite, and there was something that I couldn't chew. I pulled the piece out of my mouth and it was a rock! I was just glad it didn't break any of my teeth! It was a green shaded pebble that was quite interesting. We then showed the waiter what I found and he took it. I thought that he was taking it to show the manager but really he had just thrown it away. When I found out the news about my "trashed- treasure" I was a bit upset. After the rest of the group was done eating the waiter, Jonathan, brought the check and held out his hand and said, "Since I threw away your rock I went outside and found you a bigger one."

This was VERY nice of him and made my day!

In all my day was great. I hope everyone else's day was as well.

I Joined the Marsh on the Other Side

Today has gone fairly well. I bought new supplies for a necklace so I should hopefully have a new one posted soon. It relates to cooking :) I had a few off and on headaches today but at least they weren't skull splitting and all day long. I am at my Dad's house today as well. Which is great because this is where I grew up and I miss my Daddy during the week. I really don't have much to say today becides that I am excited to have Monday off of school. It is always nice to have a break from getting up at 5:40 am every morning to go to school. I hope I don't spend too much of my money this weekend as well.Unless, I get a super good deal on things (which I usually do because I am a great shopper!). I hope everyone had a wonderful day. My Rant of the Day

So next time you decide you want to head out and buy some craft things, fabric, or anything along those lines, DON'T GO TO JOANN FABRICS!!!! It will only bite you in the ass! So today I made my way to Joann's to check out what new things they have gotten in, what has gone on clearance and such and I stubble upon this magazine/book that I have had my eye on for the past few months. Only just recently has this become more meaningful because it is about art and about blogging which I just recently started. I grab the book, look through it a few times to remember what is in it and go show my mom. I show her all the things that interest me in it and she asks if I have enough money for it. I take a look in my wallet and what do I find? I find a whopping $2 or so which will not cover the cost of the book. My mom then grabs a 40% off coupon and says that I can use it and she will let me use some of my allowance (which I will recieve tomorrow) to cover the cost. Now I am all psyched and can't wait to read into it when I get home. I then realize that it is the SAME book I have been looking at and the date of it reads, "Aug/Sept/Oct". I look at the sign that says, "magazines 10% off" and prepare myself to bitch because it is old and they won't take my 40% off coupon and instead take the 10% off. Oh, I forgot to mention, this was in the BOOKS. Well it rings up and says it is a magazine, I bitch, it doesn't work, I leave the BOOK there and tell my mom that I will never go back to Joann's again, I will go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby instead. This is just one of the reasons to not go to Joann's anymore when they won't change this for a LOYAL/ REOCCURING customer!

On a lighter note: I had physical education which sucked but at least I got Advanced on my sit-up test. I haven't gotten a headache, YET! I have been in a slightly pleasent mood today. Um, let's see, I haven't killed anyone right??? Well I am off to do other shit. Hope trivia goes well. It is our first day of the new season!

Today I am currently obsessed with the song "Set Fire To the Third Bar" by Snow Patrol. It is such a great song. I am not really interested in seeing the movie Dear John though. If you have been wondering what I will choose as the theme for my birthday party, I believe it will be the band The White Stripes! Great band, strange style, unique music, and somewhat decribes me. Today has been quite an uneventful day. I guess I did get a headache but that is quite normal in my life. The bus smelt extra b.o.ish today which was somewhat bad. I really need to find something to prevent my headaches or get rid of them becides pills which I already take. I hope everyone else's day was great. I hope to gather materials for new necklaces tomorrow at Joann Fabrics. Hope tomorrow goes great! Bye!

This is why I don't have birthday parties

Today has been full of mixed emotions. I planned out my junior year or school, I heard a song that reminded me of Stephy, I went to P.E., I got a hole in my sock. Today has been full of a lot of nothingness as well. I would quite enjoy finding a theme for my SWEET 16. Ideally, I would enjoy one that basically describes me. I thought about an Alice in Wonderland but I don't that that is very me. Oh well, I suppose I will eventually find something. Hit me up it you have any ideas :)

A Day With My Lovey

Today was a fairly great day! I hung out with my lovey :) Here we are in the pictures below. The second picture shows his 'not there' look. He is newly shaven and it is quite odd to see his face. Oh well. He somewhat resembles Andrew WK in the picture below :)

A Day at a Thrift Store

I am quite the thrift store shopper, expecially now that my dad has his store. I greatly enjoy the thrill of finding a great deal on something you didn't expect to buy. Today I made my way down to the Denver ARC that is right off of Colfax. I always seem to find lots of interesting things there :) Today I found a set of four vintage tea cups with their matching plates. I also picked up a white, somewhat resembling a fruit bowl, candy dish type of thing. Not sure if that is what it really is. I do know that it is from the 1970s because it is marked so on the bottom.

What a Beautiful Day

The day started out with me waking up at 7:30 am which is quite a gift for I wake up everyday at 5:40 usually. I make my way to school, enjoy the sameness of my classes and find out that I did fairly well on all of the things handed back. I head to Target afterschool to try and find a cute pair of boots that aren't terribly expensive and would work great and our snow we are getting today. No such luck :( Tommorow I may try again if the roads aren't too bad. As for my mood today, I have been great! Not even slightly mad! I am ready to make a necklace

Today has been a long day. I have just began my journey of getting in the swing of things after a nice break for Christmas and New Years. Today has been a day for planning. I planned quite a few necklaces and I hope too soon post a few pictures of my completed necklaces. Hope you enjoy...
