Chinese Food with Wyatt

So today has to be one of my more klutzy days. Wyatt and I went looking at houses for a little while and I was completely fine but the second we walked into Great Wall Buffet, that all ended. The waiter dumped our drinks all over the floor and we almost ate an entire plate of food before we got more. Then, when I went up to get my second or third plate, they were still out of Lo Mein and I decided to get some of their Chinese donuts and jello. I grabbed the jello squares with the tongs provided and one ended up falling on the ground. I thought I better pick it up because I didn't want to be rude and just leave it. Plus, I was worried that if I did leave it, someone wouldn't see it and completely slip and fall and die on the piece of jello. When you are at a buffet, don't you think there should be trashcans near by so that if someone drops something they can pick it up themselves without feeling stupid carrying it around? Apparently, this thought has not crossed any of the buffet owners minds. Luckily, the nice lady working let me hand her my jello to avoid the weirdness. After I grabbed the jello, I found out that they put out some Lo Mein. I decided to grab some and ended up taking a huge pile of it and put it on my plate. It must have been one continued piece because they wouldn't stop hanging off my plate. One of the noodles ended up even falling on my foot and I walked all the way back to the table with it there. I attempted to eat the noodles but they turned out to be very gross so Wyatt helped me disguise them so we could hide our shame. I always feel so bad wasting food.
If you thought our eating was done by then, you are wrong. Wyatt and I got some twist ice cream which was mainly just vanilla and I added some sprinkles to it. When we got to the table, the ice cream started to overflow over the edge and I felt like I was three. Luckily, I am good at eating so I downed that baby before it became too messy. It was definitely a fun night with my man.

Day with Daddy

A couple days ago I went to my Daddy's house to help him with the tiles he is putting in the front yard. It turns out that he didn't need my help doing that because he didn't have time to call the concrete company. He was using the pressure washer to clean the already done tiles off and he decided to write my name on the concrete with the pressure washer. Here are all the pictures of the different places he wrote my name.

While we were in the front yard, I always look at the plants. I thought the Sumac trees looked very pretty that day so I took a picture of the pod on the tree. I also found a couple little baby trees and took pictures of those as well.

The hens and chicks are my favorite though. Since I like them so much, I thought it would be cool to have my silhouette on them so we gave it a try. It turns out that I look like a witch in the picture.

Home Sweet 1600 Cleveland

Welcome to 1600 Cleveland Avenue in Loveland Colorado. In the future, Wyatt and I may live here. Right now, we are thinking of moving out but we can't afford pretty much anything even though we both work almost forty hours a week and I am management! Tonight we did go look at the house though. It was built in 1954 and has 1023 square feet on a lot that is over 7000 square feet of land. I am going to take you all on a virtual tour of this wonderful place.
Here is a really crappy picture of the living room. The problem with taking this picture is that the lady showing us the house kept talking to me so I was distracted and I couldn't get everyone to get out of the way. Pretty much it is a plain room with a large window facing the main road.
This kitchen doesn't seem like much from this picture but it is much cuter in person. It is pretty small, I am not going to lie. The fridge is white and so is the whole kitchen; even though it looks yellow in this wonderful picture of mine.
The cabinetry seems to be original to the house and has very adorable scalloping on some of the edges.

Above is a picture of the only bathroom in the house. There is a built- in cabinet just outside of the bathroom that could hold toilet paper and towels. There is also a built in cabinet strangely above the bathtub which is the reason there is not a shower with the bathtub. Yes, there is a toilet in there; it is just hiding on the right hand side.
This house has three bedrooms and one of them is pretty weird. There is a door that you can see in this picture with the mirror on it which is where the other bedrooms are along with the bathroom and the other door comes from the kitchen and that is where I took the picture from.
The picture above is of another bedroom that is in the corner of the house. There are two windows and the one not in the picture is of the backyard.
This is the third bedroom that is on the front of the house. The window with the purple curtains is facing the main road in the house.
This is the backyard which is on behind the house and on the back side of the garages.
The picture above is of the yard when you look towards the house.
There is a vintage clothing line in the backyard. The building in the background is the second garage. We think that the back of the garage is a sliding door so that would be fun for barbeques.
At the end of the yard there is pretty large section of land that would be great for a garden or perhaps a pool.
This wonderfully dark picture is of the first garage that is actually attached to the house. There is a workbench on the back of the garage that would be nice to store all my tools in. Also, this is a two- car garage and the other garage is a two- car garage also. This means that we have room for four cars.
This picture is from looking outside of the yard from the driveway into the garden or pool area of the yard.
This is the side of the house with the garages and that door is to a breezeway in the house.
If you were wondering where the shower is, you have found it! This shower is located in the breezeway between the house and the garage. Isn't that a nice place to have one at?
While I was looking at the siding on the house, I found an area that is pealing back to reveal that there is an original color of mint which just so happens to be one of my favorites. The siding on the house needs to either be replaced all together or have it repainted and replace some of the rotting boards on it. The roof also could use some fixing up. The second garage that isn't attached needs to be cocked again but other than that, everything seems to be in pretty good condition. We thought that from the outside cosmetic issues, the interior would have more obvious issues that we found. If we did end up being approved for the application, we could need to get an inspector to come out and look at the different possible trouble issues like electrical, foundation, plumbing, and whatever else. The yard also needs some serious TLC but that isn't mandatory for living.
I thought that I might as well share this wonderful accomplishment of Kimberly and myself today. Today is the day that we get our weekly stock order. Kimberly and I are pretty much always in charge of counting everything we get and then putting away everything that goes upstairs in the stock room which includes mainly the popcorn bags, the cups, the lids, and most importantly, the candy.
We usually have a goal of getting all of our candy on the one cart and taking it upstairs. Kimberly insisted that we probably wouldn't be able to stack this well enough to get it actually upstairs without having all of this fall off. Look how tall we got that and nothing ever fell off!! We are that good! Hope you all had a great day/

Can Anyone Say, "Free Chick-Fil-A"?

Today at Chick-Fil-A, if you come in dressed like a cow, you receive free entrée of your choice. My mom and I forgot that this was going on so when we stopped by the Longmont Chick- Fil-A and it was busy we didn't think anything about it. We walked inside and tried to get free food by mooing but that was a no go so we decided to mention that I used to be the Big Cow at the Chick- Fil- A in Loveland. The owner of that Chick-Fil- A was our cashier and he said that since I am a fellow veteran of the Chick- Fil- A establishment, that if we came back to his counter after we ate our food, he would give us a free cone or a cookie.
Of course we took full advantage of that situation! Here is the picture to show it! So remember guys, dress up like cows today and grab some free food at Chick- Fil-A. They even count you wearing cut out spots on your shirt but personally, I enjoy seeing the people that go all out with their cow gear. Also remember that every one of those Chick- Fil-A cows is laughing at you inside that costume just like I was last year.

We Ran Away to Laramie, Wyoming

Yesterday, Wyatt and I finally got away from Colorado and work!! Even if it was just for a few hours, boy was it nice! I found some patriotic glasses in Wyatt's car and I look quite snazzy don't I?
We ended up driving through Fort Collins to Laramie and we passed this old house that used to have really pretty windows in it. Those have since been stolen out of the houses, still existing structure, leaving it bare and sad. There were people out there when we passed; they were tearing down trees and such. I figured that this would be one of the last times I would see that house still standing so I decided to take a picture. If no one else remembers that old house, at least I will.

So one of my business ideas that I have is to buy used cowboy and cowgirl boots and sell them online and make money. I was also thinking about making boot belts and selling those. Since Wyatt and I planned this in about a day, I thought that I better hurry up and make a pair of this boot belts and wear them on the trip. The ones in the picture below I what I ended up with. They are made from braided white leather and a turquoise leather piece. It is somewhat hard to tell from the picture but the turquoise part is in the middle of leather bows I made. I thought they turned out really cute but in Laramie, I had no comments.

On the way to Laramie, the highway was closed down so that it was only a one lane road that tons of cars had to pass. They had us stopped for over a half an hour. A few cars ahead of us, a man got out of his car and proceeded to chat with the guy behind him. I opened my door and took off my seat belt because it was toasty in the car. Wyatt even turned off the car for most of it.

In Laramie, we stopped at Grand Avenue, a pizza place in the Downtown area. We had the lunch buffet which was delicious. Our entire plan for the day was to go to thrift stores, flea markets, and pawn shops and that is exactly what we did. The only down fall to this whole thing was that I was, and still am, sicker than a dog and my nose kept running constantly so it was hard to look down at things as well as into display cases. I was constantly frustrated by this so it may have rushed out outing. On the way back to the car from one of the pawn shops, Wyatt looked down and found this beautiful nest just laying on the ground. He knows how much I enjoy them so he picked it up and gave it to me. This nest is so tiny that the entire thing fits in the palm of my hand. (I have pretty small hands) I am not entirely sure how a bird could fit their entire family in this small location. The actually nest part, where they sit, is about the size of a fifty cent piece! I made a joke to Wyatt that this is a nest for a teen pregnancy in the bird world because teens are usually smaller than adults so they wouldn't need as big of a nest. Plus, the dad most likely wasn't around so they didn't need room for him and the babies may be small and malnourished because the mom is incapable of understanding the need to take care of them. I am not saying that all teen parents are bad but really, aren't there enough T.V. shows insisting that my theory is correct?

One of the first stores we stopped in had a lot of western antiques and vintage items. This was perfect for us because that is what we are into these days. I went upstairs and found this magnificent log cabin dollhouse! I searched around for a price but gave up when I realized that even if I found a price on it, the price would most likely be way too much for me to spend on that type of thing. It is still great inspiration for the vintage dollhouse that I bought today for six dollars.

We also admired this rockin' stencil graffiti artwork that was on the side of a building by a dumpster. This actually reminded me of the style of work that Bay from Switched at Birth does with her angry girl stencil.

We also found a horseshoe Christmas tree!!! If any of you have any horseshoes you don't want, let me know. I would gladly learn how to weld and make one of the beauties for myself! However, I am thinking more of a six- footer rather than a four- footer that is seen here.

Wyatt has been looking for a cowboy had for a little while now and we finally found one at Bart's Flea Market. I think it fits him nicely! We also found him an eagle belt buckle that was on a leather belt. These are his birthday present since his birthday is approaching on July 30th.
Our trip was quite fun but I wish we could have stayed longer and maybe been a bit less sick. Perhaps before the summer is gone we can go back.

Today we did what we do best, thrift store shop. I found this epic rolling pin holder made of horse shoes! This would look fabulous with my heirloom rolling pin that was just passed down to me last year when I made the family Chicken Noodles. God, I love making Chicken Noodles with my Daddy!
We also found this beautifully ornate cuckoo clock. It is actually battery powered but it looks like a wind- up. The entire body is made of wood except for the face and the bird are made of plastic. Wyatt said it would be a pain to redo because it is missing the weights it needs to operate. Maybe someday one of these will be in our home.

I also found a mirror wrapped in rope to go with our new Western theme and a vintage ceramic Christmas tree like the one that Ron has.
Maybe someday we will actually move out and have our own place to decorated how we want to with all of our precious treasures. Well, let's face it, Wyatt doesn't have very many possessions so they will mainly be my precious treasures.
Have a splendid day guys!
