Noodles and Pumpkin Carving Party

My dad passed down the torch of noodle making to me a couple days ago. He taught me how to make the noodles from scratch so that I can make homemade chicken noodles. So on Friday I came over to Dad's after I got off work. Noodles taste best after they have dried for a few hours before making them into a soup. I planned on cooking the noodles the day after for the annual family pumpkin carving party. My dad even gave me a wooden rolling pin that was passed to him from his mom and now from him to me.

The next day, I made them into chicken noodles. They were approved by the whole family including my dad and grandma. I was quite proud of myself.

Wyatt used our nicknames as our cup names. So his is Kit Kat and mine was Buttercup.

These are the family's pumpkins that they carved. I think they all turned out great!

The pumpkin above and below is Wyatt's skull and old school pumpkin carving.

Mine was Santa Claus but I couldn't capture this into a very good picture.

Tree Trimming at Grandma Darlene's

A week ago, my dad asked Wyatt and I to help him trim branches off of a tree in Grandma Darlene's tree. Some of the branches were hanging over the yard of the neighbors and some of the branches were also on Grandma's house. It seemed like we tore down all of the tree but the tree still seemed really full of branches. While we were taking breaks, I noticed the wonderful 'granny smith' apples hanging from her tree in the backyard. They looked delicious but they were very high up.

It turns out that some of the branches were hard to saw with a hand saw so Dad went to go find one of Grandma's chainsaws. We found one but it turns out the blade was dull so Dad changed it which took forever!

I also noticed this adorable miniature tree near the fence. I really wanted to dig it up and grow it.
I thought that I would also take some pictures of Toby while I was doing a lot of observing. I think these ones turned out wonderfully!

 Aren't we just adorable?

Laramie, my boyfriend's new home....

Well as some of you may know by now, my boyfriend moved to Laramie, Wyoming. I have gone up to see him twice now. Wyatt lives with his aunt, Dianne in her nice house.
This is Dianne's house, Wyatt's new house. It is quite nice! I personally love the mailbox!
Below is the downtown area in Laramie. I am in love with these stores.
Wyatt is so cute while he is driving!
The second night I was in Laramie, we drove to meet Wyatt's cousins in Cheyenne. It was his cousin's birthday so we all went to Texas Roadhouse.

Below is Livingston and Shelby, Wyatt's aunt's dogs.

I think this mexican place looks delicious.

Bart's Flea Market is the only flea market in Laramie. There was a whole booth of Christmas with a basket full of vintage mercury glass birds. Wyatt bought me the more broken ones with more character! I also got a chenille Santa.

I saw Dianne's land where she keeps her barn cats.
Not to mention the Wyo Theatre that only has one theatre in it. They have another 6 plex as well.

Gas was extra cheap there as well! I even managed to do well on my gas on the way home from my first trip out there/
At the local Wal-Mart, they have pink pumpkins!!

Found some vintage mink jackets in a consignment shop in Laramie. I ended up buying the brown one.
