Thinking of someone

When you are in a relationship, you become someone that thinks not only of themselves but of the other person as well. I think that I am ready to make that commitment but I am not sure that someone else is ready to do that.... I am the type of person that is completely okay with spending everyday with that person and not care to see anyone else. I am perfectly aware that I am one of the only people in this world that feels this way, so I am willing to work with him on that. I am willing to give him time with his friends. He just needs to not get my hopes up because that is the point that it becomes devastating to me. I can't stand to be alone and by doing this, it is causes me to freak out. When you are in a relationship, if they aren't feeling well, you are SUPPOSED to nurture them back to help. Or even ask if they are doing okay. It is just plain rude not to. All I have to say is if you have to be with me, maybe you should be a better companion.

Oh Christmas!!!!

As some of you may know, I have a growing obsession with vintage Christmas. Right now, being March, others think I am completely crazy for thinking about Christmas right now when it is roughly 80 degrees outside. This just means that the estate sales and garage sale are coming up and that triggers pure happiness inside of me because I know that there are going to be vintage Christmas decorations. Just a few days ago I went to an estate sale and when I got there it was more like a garage sale. However, they did have three vintage knee-hugging elves, a vintage Santa, a vintage Mrs. Claus, a vintage West Germany mouse, and a sequin ornament for only $2!!!!! That is the best deal ever! Each one of the elves go for roughly $15 each and the Santa and Mrs. Claus are worth like $5 each. So basically I got my moneys worth.
Not only did I fall in love with the elves but I remembered the vintage Putz houses. I started making miniature ones. I will post pictures of them when they are finished! Have a wonderful summer Christmas

Corn Growing Experience Day One

As some of you may know, I work at the movie theatre. However, what you may not know is that you can actually grow corn stalks from kernels that you would put in the popper to make popcorn. For my friend and my own amusement, we are growing our own corn stalks from these kernels. I took like twelve or so kernels from work yesterday and have been soaking then in water for a while. I plan to plant them in a little pot today. Here is a picture of what on Day One of growing the kernels look like. I will keep you all posted on how this experiment works out.

ENGAGED!

As some of you may know, I got engaged to my wonderful boyfriend, Wyatt. The proposal wasn't something wonderful but the man and the ring sure are! Wyatt got my ring on Etsy.com and it is a Topaz. The Topaz stone is roughly 12 carats so it is a HUGE stone. He got the ring knowing that it is two sizes bigger than I wear because we both thought that it could easily be re sized. However, it is turning out to not be so. Being a jewelry maker myself, I should have realized that the stone is in a bezel setting rather than a prong setting which is next to impossible to take the stones out of. The stone would have to be taken out and then re sized. Even Helzberg Diamond doesn't have the tools to re size it. Maybe, I should just have the stone taken out of the bezel and put into a new setting. I am thinking something made of yellow gold but I am not totally sure which karat though. Since we are next to broke, I am hoping that if I provide the stones and stuff like that, I will be able to get a new setting made for this stone. This is a large stone so it is not easily fitted into a setting. Especially because it is a pear shaped stone and has to have the point protected. Any ideas on stones to go on the side of the solitaire? Perhaps even pearls are something that would look good.
